NEW PATIENTS
Thank you for your interest in Root!

As we our newest provider, Mary Jo MacKinnon, recently left the practice, we are not currently scheduling any new patient visits.  We are actively looking for a third doctor for our practice, but because the onboarding process is slow, we don't expect to resume scheduling new patients until Fall of 2022.

Please do not call the office for a new patient appointment - we will be reaching out to patients as soon as we can in the order in which they signed up on our wait list.  Please add your name to our wait list here if you are interested in joining our practice for holistic family primary care only.  We do not do consultations, and we do not accept self-pay patients except for Osteopathy only with Dr. Stauder.

We are contracted with the following insurances: Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Tufts, Medicare, Unicare GIC, Fallon, Allways, Harvard Pilgrim, United Healthcare, Tricare and Aetna. Patient's with HMO plans, we refer to specialists within the Partners network. Please make sure you are calling your insurance company prior to scheduling, to ensure we are within network for your specific plan.
Please read our Practice Partnership Agreement prior to your first visit.  Here are a few things to consider when becoming a new patient:
  • We are a part of the Mass General Brigham system and are required to keep referrals within our network (except for established providers).  Please ensure that you are comfortable utilizing Mass General Brigham facilities prior to joining our wait list, especially if you live farther away from our practice location.
  • We require masks to be worn inside the office at all times, even if you are fully vaccinated.
  • If you are already scheduled and your prior PCP was not in the MGB system, please request your vaccination record, and screening results (such as pap smear, colonoscopy, or mammograms) prior to your appointment date.
We look forward to seeing you at Root!
